Terms of use for Kitchen Savers, provided by Time Savers Limited
- Version
- 1.0, October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
1.1 Kitchen Savers is provided by Time Savers Limited, a company registered in Guernsey with company number 78775, whose registered office is at Smugglers Cove, Rue de la Vallée, Torteval, Guernsey, GY8 0PW ("Time Savers", "we", "us").
1.2 These terms apply to the business that accepts them ("you"): the commercial kitchen or food business that uses Kitchen Savers.
1.3 Your agreement with us is made up of these Kitchen Savers Terms, our Terms and Conditions of Service (the "General Terms") and our Data Processing Agreement (the "DPA"), each in the version shown when you accept. On the handling of personal data, the DPA takes priority. On anything specific to Kitchen Savers, these terms take priority over the General Terms. The limits and exclusions of liability in clauses 10.1 to 10.3 of the General Terms apply to everything under this agreement, including the DPA.
1.4 You accept these terms, the General Terms and the DPA by ticking the acceptance box in Kitchen Savers, or by signing them. The person accepting confirms that they are authorised to do so on behalf of the business. We will email you a copy of the versions you accepted.
2. The service
2.1 Kitchen Savers is an online service for keeping food-safety records in commercial kitchens. Kitchen staff record checks on a shared tablet. Owners and managers review the records, reports and audit logs, and export them.
2.2 Each account has three roles:
- Owner: runs your account, including billing and the full dashboard
- Manager: oversees the sites they are given access to
- Cook: records checks on the kitchen tablet
2.3 Kitchen Savers supports your own food-safety records and processes and does not replace them. You remain responsible for meeting your obligations under food hygiene law, including the accuracy of the checks your staff record.
3. Your data
3.1 You own the records your business creates in Kitchen Savers. You are the controller of the personal data in them, and we process it on your behalf as described in the DPA.
3.2 Kitchen Savers processes the checks your staff record, with the time and the person who recorded each one; account details for owners and managers, meaning their email address, role and the business they belong to; a log of sign-ins, corrections, exports and support access; and the export files you create.
3.3 We process your data only to provide the service. We do not sell, license or share it, except with the sub-processors listed in Part 5 of Annex A to the DPA, or where the law requires it.
4. Where the service is hosted
4.1 The database and application servers are in London, United Kingdom. Some of our sub-processors handle limited data elsewhere, as Part 5 of Annex A to the DPA sets out. We will give you notice of any change to our sub-processors as the DPA describes.
4.2 Kitchen Savers is offered to commercial kitchens in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, and elsewhere if we agree it with you in writing.
5. The pilot
5.1 While you use Kitchen Savers as part of a pilot, the fees, if any, are those we have agreed with you in writing.
5.2 The pilot comes with no service level. We will make reasonable efforts to keep Kitchen Savers available, but we do not promise uptime, response times or uninterrupted service during the pilot. Keep an independent paper record of your checks while the pilot runs.
5.3 If you continue using Kitchen Savers after the pilot, the fees and any service level will be as we agree with you in writing.
6. Ending the agreement
6.1 Either of us may end the agreement with 30 days' written notice, or as the General Terms otherwise allow.
6.2 When the agreement ends, we begin closing your account. You can export all your records and audit logs, in PDF, CSV and JSON-LD, until the scheduled deletion date, 60 days after closing begins.
6.3 On the scheduled deletion date we delete your data as the DPA describes, and give you a deletion certificate. Copies in routine backups are deleted when those backups expire, no later than 30 days after the live data is deleted.
7. Changes to these terms
7.1 We will tell you at least 30 days before any change to these terms, the General Terms or the DPA takes effect, and ask you to accept the new version in Kitchen Savers. If you do not accept it, you may end the agreement under clause 6.
8. Governing law
8.1 These terms, and any dispute about Kitchen Savers, are governed by the laws of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, and both of us submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
