Acceptable Use Policy
What KitchenSavers may and may not be used for.
- Version
- v1
- Effective
- Not yet in force
1. Permitted use
KitchenSavers is provided only for keeping food-safety records in commercial kitchens. You may use it to:
- Record food-safety checks, such as fridge, freezer and cooking temperatures, in a commercial kitchen.
- Review your records, logs and reports for food-safety audit purposes.
- Export your records for regulators or food-safety inspections.
- Manage who in your business can use your account, and what they can do.
- Receive alerts about temperatures outside the permitted range and act on them.
2. Prohibited use
You must not:
- Decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer any part of KitchenSavers, extract its source code, algorithms or database design, or get around its access controls.
- Resell, sublicense or offer the service to anyone else, rebrand it without our written agreement, or use it to build a competing product.
- Introduce malicious code, try to overload or disrupt the service, or bulk-extract data by automated means beyond the export features KitchenSavers provides.
- Try to access another business's data.
- Record false checks with the intent to deceive a food-safety authority.
- Use the service for anything unlawful under the laws of the Bailiwick of Guernsey or wherever you operate.
3. If this policy is broken
We may suspend an account straight away, without notice, where that is needed to protect the service or other customers' data.
A suspended business keeps its right to export its own records and audit logs, as the Terms of Service describe, once we are reasonably satisfied the export will not make the problem worse.
Serious or repeated breaches may lead us to end the agreement. We will tell you in writing.
